End Back Pain - Relief, Info & Articles

How do I get rid of back pain ?

Persistent back pain can be life-limiting for many people, with 80% of people suffering with back pain at some point in their life.

At best, it means a day or two off work, at worst, it means that you’re limited in your physical activity, always anxiously awaiting the next spasm that will put you back in bed for days on end.

A visit to your doctor or health care provider should be your first step, to discover just what is causing your discomfort.

This is important as there are many types of back pain and sometimes this discomfort is a symptom of another related problem within your body.

Whilst your doctor will probably be able to prescribe you some medication which will help relax the muscles and mask the pain, the underlying problems are still present.

Acupuncture – this traditional Chinese technique has been used to treat all types of illnesses.  There have been some studies which have shown long term pain reduction for people undergoing regular acupuncture.

Posture – the Alexander technique  teaches people to improve their posture and eliminate bad habits such as slouching

McKenzie Exercises – a special type of exercises created by a New Zealander to help strengthen the muscles around the back.

Yoga – this technique aims to create flexibility and strength  within the body and can help maintain agility when carried out regularly.

Alternative Experts – either chiropractors or osteopaths are specially trained to deal with the root cause of your discomfort.
